About El Cafetín Valencia

Nestled in the heart of Ciutat Vella, this espresso bar offers a cozy and inviting spot to enjoy a relaxed drink or a casual meet-up. While it carries the warmth and charm of a coffee shop, many visitors come here especially for expertly crafted cocktails like the local Agua de Valencia, alongside a well-curated selection of beer, wine, and other spirits. The ambiance is calm yet lively, with soft live music often filling the space, creating a backdrop that’s both intimate and engaging.

The interior, enhanced by vintage touches and thoughtful details, feels snug during cooler days, while the terrace opens up onto a typical Spanish street, perfect for those who appreciate a bit of fresh air with their beverage. The atmosphere suits a diverse crowd—from college students and groups catching up, to locals working quietly on their laptops. It’s especially welcoming for the LGBTQ+ community and dog owners, who’ll find a safe, inclusive environment both indoors and out.

Stopping by here means settling into a place where the staff are friendly and the service casual but attentive, creating an easygoing rhythm to your visit. Whether you’re enjoying a quiet coffee, curling up over a cocktail, or sharing some happy hour drinks with friends, it’s a spot that feels genuinely local without the rush of a tourist trap.

What Locals Say

One of my favourite bars in Valencia. I've had so many nights in here over the years and it's always special to go back. Lovely in the winter when it's chilly outside and the bar is full.

Really nice coffee shop and the drinks are really good

Frederik Fresen From Google 5

Great location to have a drink, very nice interior and the terrace is in a typical Spanish street. And beside the nice drinks we also got chips which came with the drinks. I met the very friendly owner and he told me normally they also have live music. We order Aqua de Valencia and a Corona and later on a Margaritha aswel. And before we knew.... We sat there for 2 hours or so.

Fantastic exquisite bar. Yes it’s is a bar NOT cafe and NO coffee. Agua de Valencia is highly recommended.

I passed by this cozy little café-bar again and finally stepped inside, drawn in by the soft sound of the piano music. The place is small but charming, with cute vintage decorations n friendly staff. They serve coffee - cocktails and snacks. I had a refreshing orange juice cocktail Would definitely come back next time I’m in town. ( More details in the photo captions )

I came across this place by accident, but it was a very lucky strike - it is a very nice and cosy place with a unique, vintage interior design. There are many locals visiting, what makes this place even more authentic. Also the staff is super nice and friendly and prices are affordable, especially for such location. The best Agua de Valencia in the city. Highly recommended! :)

A welcoming, quirkily decorated small bar with great drinks and friendly staff (thanks for your help with my Spanish, Natalia!). Fast becoming our favourite place to hang out in Valencia! If they served meals I'm not sure we'd ever leave...

Best Sangria in the city!! And I really loved the vibe of this place, it was bohemian and artistic. Worth to visit.
